About Brittany

I thought I knew better.
Turns out, I just hadn't been forced to yet.

You know you should be delegating.
So why is everything still on your plate?

I spent over seven years as an executive assistant to executives at private companies and post-secondary institutions. I saw what real delegation looked like from the inside — the kind that protects a leader's energy, keeps a business moving, and frees up the people at the top to actually lead.

I understood it completely.

Then my first son got sick.

In his first year, there were health challenges that meant appointments, specialists, and a version of life I hadn't planned for. I was still working for someone else at the time, and I remember the feeling clearly: I need to be able to show up when my family needs me. I need something different.

That was the moment I decided I was going to build something of my own.

It took a few years to figure out what that looked like. During my second child's maternity leave I started taking on remote work — thinking that was the answer. Flexible hours. Working from home. I threw myself into it completely. I was available at all hours, doing everything myself, never switching off.

It wasn't freedom. It was just a different kind of trapped.

When I eventually launched my own business, I hired someone almost immediately. I knew I needed support. But even with help right there in front of me, I held on to everything. I checked everything. I redid things. I approved things that didn't need my approval. I had someone capable beside me and I still couldn't let go — not because I didn't trust her, but because I hadn't built the system that would make trusting her feel safe.

Then a serious health challenge hit our family.

I won't go into detail, but it was the kind of thing that could easily shut a business down. Suddenly I wasn't available — not for a day or a week, but for a stretch of time with no clear end. I had no choice but to step back, hand things over, and trust that the business would hold.

It did.

Some things ran better without me in them. And I sat with that for a long time — because I had been the one standing in the way.

I had spent years telling my clients exactly what I wasn't doing myself. The moment I actually lived what I teach, everything changed. Not overnight. But clearly, and permanently.

The entrepreneurs who love what they've built — who wake up genuinely excited about it — aren't the ones doing the most. They're the ones who figured out what to stop doing, and found the right person to carry it. They lead. They decide. They grow. And everything else gets handled.

I don't want you to wait for a crisis to figure this out.

That's exactly why I built this.

"The business didn't need me to do more.
It needed me to finally let go."

What I Believe

The principles behind everything I teach.

Done is better than perfect

Perfectionism is the enemy of delegation. I help you release the grip and trust the process — because a business that waits for perfect never actually moves.

Clarity before action

You can't delegate what you haven't defined. We get clear on outcomes before we hand anything off, so your EA knows exactly what success looks like.

Lead from the front

The best leaders are visionaries, not operators. My job is to help you become the leader your business needs — not the person doing every task inside it.

Time is the real currency

Money can be made back. Time can't. Every hour you spend in the weeds is an hour not spent building what you actually set out to build — or living the life you started this for in the first place.

A little more about me

Beyond the business.

I'm a mom of three — ages three, six, and eight — based in Canada. I co-founded an outsourced EA agency called Novera alongside this personal brand. Both exist for the same reason: I believe that when entrepreneurs build the right support around them, everything changes. The business, the energy, the way Monday morning feels.

If you want to learn how to make delegation actually work — you're in the right place.

If you're looking to have a vetted, outsourced EA placed for you directly — Novera handles that.
